Do I have to transfer ALL of an old ISA?

I have a cash isa about to end on 18th May. Can I leave half of it with them ticking away and transfer half of it to a new isa?

Or

Can I transfer half from my old isa to a new one in my name and half from my old isa to a new one in my husband's name?

Hope you can help.

K

You will need to look at the terms of your ISA to see if it allows partial transfers.

You cannot transfer an ISA to another person.
Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

Well there is one way to pass an ISA between spouses, but it's rather extreme ;)

Technically the ISA would never pass but the surviving partner would get an additional allowance. Still could be a very middle class plot motive for Midsummer Murders.
