Carphone Warehouse Promotion

Options
Back in Jan 2018, I took out broadband via carphone warehouse with Talk Talk and with the deal came 2 free cinema tickets per month for a year. All great I thought

Roll onto almost May and I still yet to benefit from the free cinema tickets, I have called their customer service number to be hung up on twice or left holding, I have visited my local carphone warehouse store numerous times.

beginning of April I thought the problem was resolved as I had received an email with a link to claim the free tickets for that month, I completed the instructions on the link... FF to now I have still not received any free tickets, the email link no longer works

Is anyone else having issues with the promotion?

I am not looking forward to having to waste more time with carphone warehouse to attempt to resolve this...
Aspiring to be financially independent.... from my parents!

  • I feel your pain, Starbrite. I'm having the same problem with getting tickets as the result of signing up for a Sky package in January 2018. I've managed to get one pair of tickets since then- the promotion wasn't ready until the end of March, I've been sent one link only instead of the new one each month and I'm mired in trying to get an answer from the Carphone Warehouse. They insist on me giving my home address, despite having my house number and postcode, Sky and Carphone refs and the correct security question answer and state it's needed so they can comply with the Data Protection Act to stop others accessing my account. I thought the Act covers how personal data is used? By the bye, I've asked for the details of the relevant section of the Act. It seems I am being penalised as the company can't send a working link in a text message! I should have had 7 sets of tickets by now but have had 1 set. I wonder if I will receive 12 sets in total or if the promotion will cease in December?

So you're not getting the tickets because you bizarrely don't want to give the first line of your address? They're quite correct in not dealing with you then.

Have you considered that they may have more of an idea on how DPA/GPDR works than you do?
  • Hi. Does anybody have a copy of the promo material relating to the free cinema tickets offer Carphone Warehouse were offering in January 2018? I particularly want a copy of the posters or leaflets Carphone Warehouse were giving or showing to customers instpre..

    Thanx
