are you docs backed up to onedrive? have you not got any backups of your data anywhere else (cd, flashdrive, old pc etc etc)?"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0

At least they weren't too important, then.
You might be able to recover some with software such as Recuva:

If you want the best chance of recovering data, you should avoid booting or running any software on the drive (i.e. connect it to another machine).0 -
All I can suggest is - do nothing else with the laptop.
Remove the hard drive, and connect it to another machine, either via USB caddy, or as a secondary drive in a desktop, then use Recuva or similar recovery software to access anything which may remain.0 -

i gave you 'the benefit' but not sure if you are serious or not after that comment"The Holy Writ of Gloucester Rugby Club demands: first, that the forwards shall win the ball; second, that the forwards shall keep the ball; and third, the backs shall buy the beer." - Doug Ibbotson0 -

Sadly they probably are serious, we see it often enough on here (and I know plenty of people in the real world who have never done a back up). Of course, we know what that makes those people, but we can't describe them on here without getting in trouble.
