Anyone else having problems with Ecosse.net/Breathe?

    Thanks Tinman - I hase submitted a complaint using one of the links in that thread, though given the rest of the discussion, I doubt if it will do anything.
    I have now completely removed anything connected with Ecosse.net, but I wish anyone still using it the best of luck!

  • I am now working again with ecosse. I plucked up the courage to call them at 60 p per minute and got the answer.

    My password had changed from lower to UPPER case during migration.

    mmmm.... nice if they had posted this on the web.

    Hope this helps someone else..
  • My email seems to be down again... have had no mail all day and cant access the web page to get it that way.
  • Since last night both http://[URL="http://www.ecosse.net"]www.ecosse.net[/URL] & http://webmail.ecosse.net/ are down - just getting 'page not found'. But of course on the http://support.breatheinternet.com/ site it says that there are no problems with the mail system... (and this is trying on multiple different machines at different sites via home broadband & office LAN so it's definately 'their' problem not an end user one!)
  • Yeah, off again! 4 users I know of are off. Still off at 12:45, 11th Jan.

    This service is absolutely appaling since Breathe took over & dont get me started on the Spam mail
  • I dont believe this I just got 16 emails in my inbox.. .but theyre ones I SENT and go back to 2004!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  • Yep, I've not had any email access for over 24 hours now. I'm running a business and have other email addresses forwarded to my ecosse.net account. So now, I think enough is enough and I'm going to ditch Ecosse, and I would recommend everyone follow suit. A fresh start for 2008...

    Their handling of the switch over was terrible - it took over a week - and there has been intermittent down periods since then. Their premium rate 'Customer Service' is VERY poor, infact...USELESS. If only...

    We could have the original Calico Ecosse team and providers back. They were friendly and provided a real service. Thanks to them. As for Breathe...

    Well, don't hold your breath...
  • have had problems with ecosse for weeks. spam galore and now no access for 48 hours. had enough ditching them and would advice everyone else to do the same
  • Well, I am wanting to use the ecosse.net so I want them to FIX IT.

    Please take the time to go over to ispreview.co.uk and to register as a member - then to make a complaint about breathe.net over this problem. That process supposedly puts the problem out into the public domain.

    It would be better for all concerned if breathe.net would take the management of this domain seriously and charged for the service - of course, ensuring it always ran smoothly.

    Anyway, please go over and complain. (trouble is that, as usual, you have to have a working email address to register)
