    Hi everyone
Just been reading back and catching up. I've been really ill since last Saturday night...I had a noro virus and then acute gastroenteristis. Spent most of the week either in bed or on the sofa and seem to have slept through the week! I've just started eating little bits. mostly toast and have managed some chicken soup today. So I'll be off work for another week and will hopefully start to feel better and get some energy back. I have never had 2 weeks off ill in my life but then I don't think I've ever been this ill either.

Dumpling - my eldest DD was just 14 and 1 week when she started work in a caf! in town, a lovely family place. She had hardly spoken at first but she loved it and stayed there until she left to go to uni. Now the owners are like family to her and when she's home she's always straight to see them.

    Afternoon lovelies :hello:.
As it was dry this morning, we took the opportunity to get the now dry and clean 'van cover back on. We had just finished and down came the rain :(. Never mind all done :D.
The cleaning goes on and on and on.... the kitchen today. Everything from the light fitting to the floor, all the white goods, including the inside of the fridge and then cupboards and worktops. Even the toaster, microwave and kilner jars etc have had a good clean :D I'm now pooped !
Mr Fix It has been a great help as he has done all the high stuff and cleaned the floor ( mind you he had a gadget for that :rotfl:). Oh I have forgotten who recommended the ka*cher window vac, well I have ordered one for him, so thank you.
Tea tonight will be liver ragout from the freezer and I shall do the rice later a la Delia :T. I am planning a long bubble bath later to soak my weary bones :rotfl:.
Dumpling well done to your girls ( and Steve :D ). A special well done to Phoebe , it will probably boost her confidence even more.
dp1 hope you get better soon.
TA if you have finished your kitchen, our office needs sorting next week if you are available :rotfl::rotfl:.

Just a quick update, Phoebe just came home and said she starts next Saturday :j:j:j.

What GREAT news to come home to...well done that Phoebe! And she's made her DM very happy too. :j:j

Shopping was a very brief affair this morning, I whizzed round collecting the various cleaning stuff my DM wanted and that was it. Before heading home I went back to the car dealer to collect my paperwork which I'd left lying and to ask a question about a car function. It's got more stuff than I know what to do with. Then I dropped into MW for some more lovely wine, then home.

Now I've unpacked, put away everything and filled the bird feeders up. Chinese takeaway and a cheeky wee SB coming up.

    Happy evening to all.
  • Just doing a catch up of today's news and couldn't read and run. Wow DUMPLING you must be one proud mum after hearing Phoebe's news. Well done her!

Dp1 get well soon vibes. That sounded a nasty bug you have had.

HOLLY we had neighbours like yours too some years back. She could shout for England and had the foulest mouth. Even the people on the top road could hear her! DD, who lived at home at the time, used to go out into the garage so she could hear better and then report back to us! I used to go out in the front garden to do a bit of pretend weeding so anyone passing could see it wasn't me hurling the abuse!

I have had a very exciting day getting rid of all the muck and dust all over the house! I was like a tornado downstairs this morning but, after lunch, I had wilted a bit and the upstairs was done at a much slower pace! A much deserved bottle of wine is chilling for when I get my feet up.

Have a nice evening folks xx
