Outcome of this one. I've just telephoned the court, and BWLegal did not send them the DQ, or pay a fee. The case has now been stayed, and they will need to pay £100 to apply for this to be lifted.

Poor conduct of them to send me their copy of a DQ alongside a letter staying they intended to proceed. There's not been any letter of discontinuance at all either. I'll have a read through the forum over lunch for next steps, but in case it's not readily available I assume complaints should be made to organisations with oversight of BWLegal?
Well done - this may be the win you wanted!

But keep everything because BW Legal might bleat that they did send it...and persuade the court to set aside that order with/without £100 fee. Then they will press on.

Will keep everything on file. It's marked on the DQ that they did not enclose the fee, so might well count against them.

Is it worth me speaking to BW at all, or best to just leave it now?

Not worth you speaking to them under ANY circumstances!

Do not reply if a poster with less than 1000 posts sends you a private message. People lurk and pop up and post on this forum with a dark agenda.

Had a notice of discontinuance today, and will check this with the court tomorrow, given that they never received the DQ that was supposedly sent previously to them by BW Legal.

Will also put in a letter requesting costs for time spent researching my defense, and on the basis of their unreasonable behaviour.
