ASDA Deliveries Arghhhhhhhhh!!

  • Asda do seem really poor with their attitude towards customer service. It doesn't cost them anything to say thanks. I would have kept hold of the shopping if that is their attitude.
    I hate migraines.

maybe they dont have another van.

You telling me they have the 1 van, surely they have 3 or more vans, could they not have diverted a van so it could pick up the shopping, at least they phoned you though,

Having worked for Tesco internet shopping bit I can only assume that Asda is the same in that the store will have 3/4 vans but they will all be in use, there aren't usually any vans left at the store in case of emergencies. And what usually happens is that there are 2/3 vans per area in case of breakdowns but those are also usually all in use
    Titch :)

exactly my point Outtathaway.a van sitting at the door isnt earning its keep.
with a van breaking down it may not be as simple as diverting a van given it may have 10-20+ deliveries to be covered
im not saying its right for asda to not do their best to fix it but logisitcs and practicalities may not have allowed it.
  • The last ASDA delivery I had annoyed me!

We live on a 2nd floor flat and our buzzer went and it was the driver, as normal I said '2nd floor, I'll let you up', but he said no, you have to come down.

I was a bit miffed at this, seeing as we have a lift and usually they're more than happy to bring it up with their trolley and unload it at the door.
So we went down only to find that the reason he wouldn't come up is because he's just stopped his van in the middle of the road and not parked up and he wanted to get away quickly.

So we have to unload all the carrier bags into the foyer....then into the lift....then along the corridor to our flat. There were around 20 carrier bags, 2 crates of beers and 2 crates of coke!
We were knackered by the time we finally got back!

    Not impressed.
