ASDA Deliveries Arghhhhhhhhh!!

To anyone that can be bothered to read my Vent about Asda - Arghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!

One Upon A time...........

I have ordered online and had my shopping delivered about 5 times now by Asda. I have always received all of my shopping pretty much ontime BUT.. I have also had other peoples shopping delivered at my address (which i obviously didnt order)
The first time it was 7 loaves of bread, some crumpets and a pack of scones - I phoned up customer services to let them know i have gained these extra items & that somebody somewhere will be calling then to report a shortage on their order and they huff and puff like ive really inconvenienced their day. They run half a dozen security checks on who I am?!?!?! Then tell me to keep it. No thanks for letting us know we have accidently messed up.

Today, as well as my ordered shopping, i receive ....
2x pots of Jam
1x pk of 30 bin liners
2x huge bottles of comfort concentrate
2x Bleach
2x Surf washing Powder
1x Oust air freshner
&
2x Fairy liquitabs

...So i unpack all my shopping, put it away THEN call Customer Services.
Once again i roll my eyeballs as i listen to the customer services options, then wait to spk to a person. I answer all the security questions then explain i have all the extra shopping, and that someone will not be very happy when theirs doesnt arrive hence why im letting them know. Again they huff and puff and then ask me how much its worth, to which i tell them i have no idea! I was then told someone from my local store would phone me to advise on the situation later. NO thanks for calling, being honest, letting us know etc. 2 hours later a lad turns up and collects it from me.

What gets to me is that i feel guilty they have brought me someone elses stuff, (I imagine someone with bundles of washing desperately waiting for their washing powder) i let them know and they cant even be ars*d to say thanks!

Rant Over...
The End!

mmm and me to be honest, think of the money spent on ringing them to inform them of their mistake.... i dont think i'd bother next time and if someone turns up and asks you if you got an extra crate/bag tell em no!!!

You shouldnt feel guilty for having someone elses food/goods, its not your fault you had it delivered,

I'm having my own troubles with Asda tonight. We're expecting our delivery between 7-9 and the delivery driver rang at 6.30 and said she was on her way to her first delivery and the van's broken down. She said our shopping will either be very late or not be delivered at all.

Unfortunately our cupboards are bare and we have nothing for tea until our shopping arrives! (I know, my fault for being optimistic and thinking they'd deliver closer to 7 than 9...)

A friend has also been dog-sitting for us today and now she's stuck with the dog as we can't leave the house until the shopping has arrived!!

Not sure where I stand with them complaints wise?

You would have thought they'd send another van out plus driver to continue with the deliveries, maybe thats too hard to do

That's what I thought, but apparently not!

20 mins to go before end of expected delivery and no sign of my shopping yet.

    I'm hungry!

At least they phoned to tell you, I get really annoyed when for waiting for a no show from Carphone !!!!!house, phone their courier to be told they have lost the item, so I cancel order and get charged £10
Why could one of you not go for dog?

I wouldn't stand for that!! Not your fault they lost it. If they cant deliver the goods you must be well within your rights to cancel the order i would have thought! I would persue that to be honest!!

    Good Luck!
