Help with wrong emails from Santander

I'm hoping someone can help me with this issue. For months now my husband has been receiving emails from Santander that are not for him. We don't even bank with them or have anything to do with them. Its for a man with the same surname. But these emails are about his account etc. We have emailed Santander numerous times about this, even called them & yet nothing has been done and even tried to unsubscribe. It's getting beyond a joke now as there are links to this mans online banking statement. (Not that we have ever tried to acces these) Has anyone any suggestions as I'm sure this is not complying to some integrity issues. Thankyou

What did Santander say when you called them?
Also, Santander always quote part of the customer's postcode in the email. Did they do this? If not it may be a spam email.0 -
Santander will never ask you to login by following a link in an email (you stated there are links to online statements), it sounds like a phishing scam to me.
Clicking the "Unsubscribe" link is one of the worst things to do with a phishing email, It shows the sender that your mailbox is active and encourages them to send you more.0 -

Apologies it's not a link. It says you online banking statement is available.....We have called them & they have acknowledged it but not actually done anything. Thanks anyway.0

Your security is our priority
So you know that an email is genuinely from us, we’ll:
Address it to you personally.
Include the last 4 digits of your account or card number, or the last 3 characters of your postcode.
Only include links that take you to information pages.
Never ask for your personal information, such as passwords or security details.
If you get an email that's suspicious or doesn't follow the rules above then please forward it to phishing@santander.co.uk

I don't think simply blocking or deleting the email will solve the issue for the true recipient of the email. He/she will not receive important emails from santander. If you've told them you are not the intended recipient and they still keep sending you emails, next port of call is to report it to the information commissioner's office (ico).0
