I think you have nailled it cos i have always had a fear of debt. Knowing it is there has made me pay it off with my debit card leaving a small debt to make the direct debit kick in and release the interest on my Santander 123 accountI would add that there are two valid reasons for you to pay the credit card in the manner that you have been doing, neither of which have anything to do with credit scores.
The first would be to reduce interest which does not apply to you as you pay in full each month.
The second would be to reduce the balance to allow you to keep spending on the card if you have a low credit limit.0
