;74209294]It isn't. Speed limits on flashing matrix signs are advisory. The enforceable speed limit signs (on overhead gantries) do NOT flash.
Sorry, I was just referring to the NSL on a motorway.0

I was driving my a normal 5 door car. No restrictions on it.
I did a round trip from Manchester to Sheffield and back. The exact location where this camera is, according to the letter A616 (T) East from 400m past A629 exit for 1.6km, Barnsley.
I searched the above address in google and this PDF document come up. Its a certificate of camera calibration.which say the calibration is due on 13/03/18

So not a motorway after all.0 -
Yes you are right, it’s the road that joins from the snake pass. I am sure i saw the national speed limit signs along there but they must have sections with restrictions which I clearly didn’t see. :doh:0

That stretch has 60MPH average speed cameras in place, so it must have been a signed limit and nothing to do with gantry signs.0

If I've understood the location, it's a single carriageway, so NSL is 60.0

You are correct, it appears to be an S2+1, i.e. 2 lanes in 1 direction, 1 in the other but no central divider. So NSL would indeed be 60 for a car.

Nearly there....
Speed limits on overhead signs where there is a number in orange on its own are advisory, speed limits where the number is in a red circle are mandatory. The ones which are advisory don't always come with the flashing lights. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. All matrix are advisory, don’t confuse them with the overhead gantry.0
