Google Timeline not working in Cyprus!

I can access my Google timeline on the laptop normally in the UK, but not here in Cyprus this time.
It shows up fine on my phone, but not PC.

Hmm - don't think so, as the info is on my phone ... just not on

Tried it on several browsers with several google accounts.

UK phone, contract with Three, roaming on Primetel or MTN (it has just swapped networks whilst I've typed this message!)

Info is on the phone but not displaying on the Pc...

Sounds like the info isn't transferring from the phone to Google. Are using mobile data or wifi? I could see that one or other could be blocked for some odd reason?

Wi-Fi and/or mobile data.

We have two other google accounts and I've tried to see timeline on those, but both give the 400 error as I put in my OP.



EDIT
Just tried borrowing next door's wi-fi and it gives the same error message.

We also have an old Huawei Ascent G300 (?) with a local CY SIM
The timeline has never worked on that which I put down to it being an older phone. Android 4.0.3
I just looked on there at maps / settings / location history and it says "not available in Cyprus"
... but it doesn't say that on my MotoG

Strange... Is there, maybe, some odd privacy law in Cyprus that prevents it logging to Google??

I guess that as the data is on the phone once you get back to the UK it'll update your whole trip?

It's really bizarre - I can see my Gmail, my Photos and

gives the exact location
