    WHich hisnt your issue
POFA requires this to be served on you. If you state, as a witness, that it was nto served, you have evidence that it wasnt served.

I inserted card and then it asked for "time" (there is no indication if this is length of intended stay, or actual time of day).
    5. Then it asked for parking fee.
    6. You then go on your visit to somewhere and come back within that time
    7. If you stay longer you are meant to buy another ticket before leaving and then drive out.
    8. This is where the VRN and camera should marry up.

My issue was I thought it was pay on exit and it works it out for you.
At the point when I put my card in and it asked for time, I wouldn't have attempted to put an actual time in. It came up with £1.50 so I paid and left.

    So this was my misunderstanding.
Have you heard of the doctrine of contra proferentem? Google it, or even better, search this forum for examples of it.

This was not YOUR misunderstanding, it was their ambiguity. Their failure. That's what you say.

  • Spayne UK. I have the same as you from the 14th Feb only received a final notice on 20th of April. The only information I have is date of notice, date of contravention, VRN and location. PLymouth - harbour MSCP. Not what I have actually done. I've been advised to ignore it, but will ring the DVLA tomorrow to see if someone has asked for my details and when as if like you we didn't get an original parking notice its over the time to send parking notice o is invalid. I don't even know if I overstayed pretty sure my ticket was in time, but remember faffing around with two small children to purchase a ticket as I couldn't get onto ring go and had to find change! Then the lifts weren't working!
What have you decided to do? Any help appreciated i'll let you know how I get on with the DVLA

I've been advised to ignore it,
    Who told you that? Why?

You are at appeal stage and the thread at the top of the forum tells you how to appeal and win at POPLA, so who told you to ignore Britannia's first letter?
