Yeah he's a family friend, he used to live a few doors away.
Look how short that is! You're never to old to learn :rotfl:"One has to free oneself from the illusion that international climate change policy is environmental policy. Instead, climate change policy is about how we redistribute de facto the world's wealth." - Ottmar Edenhofer, IPCC economist, interviewed at COP160 -
Hi,
The alleyway is probably about 2.5 meters wide we were looking to just move our fences back around a metre (as some other houses have already done but the others we have asked cant be bothered to clear it to do this so they havent bothered but everyone we have spoke to has thought about doing it) there would be no shared boundaries as we would be having our own back fences still.
I think we will just leave it as we're not that bothered about an extra meter if it's going to cause this much trouble.
Thanks for your advice0 -
If you fence it off it will get overgrown again. After the effort of clearing it and replacing the fence I would do as others have done and claim half of the land.

The current neighbours may be disinterested but over the years new owners are likely to take over their portion.0
