  • How do I get there from BHX or MAN airports or any London airport? I can't seem to get any flights to eventually land me at LNS/Lancaster PA!

From MAN, fly with American Airlines to Philadelphia. Arrange to hire a car at the airport. Depending on traffic, 1.5 to 2 hours drive to Lancaster.

Another option is to fly United Airlines to Newark, New Jersey. Arrange to hire a car at the airport. Depending on traffic, 2.5 hours drive to Lancaster.

Also from Newark Airport, there is an Amtrak train station with service to Lancaster. You would need to see how the train times and flight arrival times match up, and what options exist should plane arrive late or delays at customs.

Beautiful area Lancaster, and very unique. Home of The Amish, otherwise known as Pennsylvania Dutch.
  • Thank you so much merchcon 55. Those are options I hadn't thought of! I've started looking at flights to NY and then from NY to MDT.

I would fly into either Philadelphia or Baltimore and drive.
But if you want more options, Southern Airways fly into LNS from Baltimore or Pittsburgh.

  • I've more or less settled on BHX to PHIL & then car hire to hotel in Lancaster PA. So thank you for your help. Now I have to check out the threads on hiring a car in the US!
