Are they a decent set of wiper blades? ie, not a set of Michelin ones from Poundland?

Atm, even with clean glass, RainX'd etc. and Bosch blades less than 3 months old, I'm still getting marks!
That said, I replaced my OEM blades on my last car with new Bosch ones and they were terrible with smearing, I think the problem was the thickness of the rubber was a few mm thicker than the standard ones so produced too much downward pressure. I went straight back to OEM Valeo ones and never looked back.

OP, you need to really give your windscreen a good clean. When washing it use some 0000 steel wool with your car shampoo, just be careful at the edges of the screen. When clean and dry apply some Autoglym glass polish to finish. Turn your attention to the blades, clean with shampoo then wipe down with some IPA.

BTW, if you really want to use a rain repellent then forget the RainX and get some Angelwax H2go.
