    Well, a quick update.
So I've finally got round to decorating the small room. It's my little poky 'bedroom' that currently houses my desk and computer. It took me 3 days to wallpaper and paint it and it looks really good (if I do say so myself!).  I live around the corner from a W!ckes and luckily, the day I wanted to start on it (Friday) was the day it opened back up. Pure coincidence lol. I spent £12 on a few bits and bobs for decorating and cracked on. I already had the wallpaper and paint which I bought months ago.

I've decided I'm going to get a day bed and put it in there, it will only be a single bed but hey ho, it'll be handy to have. My guitars are going to be hung on the wall so I've ordered some wall hangers for them. I bought a lampshade from John Lew1s last week and that is now up.

I have been furloughed from work til the end of June now. I'm thinking of keeping the kids home with me if I can get away with it. I'm apprehensive about how they will keep nursery  children apart and I don't  feel 100% about sending my 4 year old back to nursery yet.

I keep promising to update my sig,but I'm on my phone and not sure I can do it properly on here. Current mortgage balance stands at £80228.??

Thank you Leigh! It's so lovely to hear. I'm now thinking of all the money I would have stashed if I didn't overpay my mortgage. I could cry 😂

  • I've only gone and flipping done it!! Another milestone achieved. Mortgage balance is officially in the 70s, standing at a grand total of £79812.02p! So happy I could do a handstand
Took me 18 months to get out of the 80s. Let's see what happens with this...

  • Ugh! I've been putting money towards to my mortgage whilst being furloughed. Beginning to think this was  not a smart move with the benefit of hindsight. I've had a leter come though from my employer. They would like employees, myself included to take a voluntary pay cut. We aren't obligated to and there will be no apparent repercussions if we say no.... but if everyone opted out I reckon there would be potential redundancies. I've got til the end of the month to decide what to do. I'm guessing a pay cut would effect my pension to? It would (initially) only be for 3 months. Feeling pretty worried but trying not to get too down hearted.

So sorry Youth about the stressful work option. I hope that if you do take the paycut that it is truly temporary and will sort itself after all this is over.
