Well thanks everyone this has been beautiful. So it seems I'm the bad one for buying her.
    Much appreciated

A lack of responses suggests you bought this ( working?)dog from a backstreet breeder on the cheap.
Despite seeing all the signs the breeder was unfit, you purchased the dog , on the cheap, and like many others I have spoken to , want to claim some saintly status for rescuing a dog from Cruella Devill, now you realise you have carried out no due diligence.

You could have bought from a registered breeder. You chose not to.

You could have paid for a full health check for the dog. You chose not to.

Now the bargain is not looking like such a bargain, you want to get some money paid to you.

    Buyer beware .

    More like 'beware buyer'.
  • Its a choice. You felt pity for the puppy and took it home. But you took it home knowing there might be problems. I have done the same. When we got a puppy this time, we made sure the puppy came from a good background, visited it in the home several times before taking it and have a healthy good natured dog. I'd never buy a puppy from a bad breeder again, I wouldn't even go to see a puppy from someone I suspected was a bad breeder now.

But with the first two puppies, I knew I was taking a risk. At the time I just couldn't leave them with the bad breeder. One of them died age only three, the other one has a 'difficult' nature and has cost a fortune in vet fees. I love him very much, but I wouldn't do it again.
