    Good afternoon everyone :hello:

It's a lovely sunny day, not quite as warm as yesterday but still very pleasant and the dogs appreciate being able to go in and out the garden as they please, although I have a certain Mr Bobby currently sitting on my foot :D.

Becky has just made me a lovely cup of tea and she baked some banana and white chocolate muffins to go with it, yum :T. She is feeling a lot better today so that makes life a lot easier in the house, I am cross with her care co ordinator though as I messaged her asking for a visit several days ago and haven't heard anything from her. Oh well, we seem to have got through the bumpy bit in the road ok.

I had some good news this week, the housing association is going to put a new bathroom in for us next month. I know there will be upheaval but I am so grateful to have the bathroom done. They are going to plaster the walls and ceiling as well so it will be like a whole new room. I had to choose paint colour and flooring which is pleasingly called sea snail :D. The girls are really looking forward to having a working bath as they have had to have showers for the past few years now. I hope they don't spend even longer in there though :rotfl:.

I'm going to make chicken enchiladas for tea tonight. I remembered to get the chicken out to defrost this morning so that was a good start. I also want to make a chocolate orange cake as we have some unloved oranges in our fruit bowl and I have a nice recipe to try out.

Sorry your arm is so sore Jackie, I hope it soon gets better xx
dp1, hope you recover from your bug quickly, they are rotten things. I also hope your situation with your youngest can be resolved too xx
nannywindow and TA, just think about how lovely it will be when the work is done and it all looks fantastic. Until then just keep the kettle on and the biscuits coming :rotfl:.
Judi, have a big hug, I know it is easy to be taken for granted but you are a wonderful woman in your own right who is doing a fantastic job of looking after everyone xx
csarina, hugs for you too, it can't be easy looking after your DH and you certainly don't need unwanted advice about your situation. Hope you manage to have some time to yourself so your stress levels can come down xx
Everyone else can have a load of hugs and cwtchs too, I have loads going free.

Hope you all have a great day whatever you are up to, take care xx

I'm moaning too cos I'm in bed with a sicky bug feeling awful. A child was sick all over me earlier in the week so it was inevitable really. So a day off work but I'd rather feel well. Hopefully I may feel a bit better later and can sit outside for a little while.
Having lots of problems with youngest DD (19)at the moment which is causing me lots of stress too
Oh i hope your feeling better soon Dp. Sorry to hear your having issues with your daughter. 19 is a funny age. So is 14,15,16,17,18,20,21,22,23,24,25.....:(

Given myself a DIY hair cut.....I thought i'd cut a bit too much off but it blended well.:rotfl:

Its a bit too warm to do housework. I'll do it tonight.

The trouble is that people love to make glib assumptions and trot out an answer (even if they have not been asked the question. It must be infuriating!

Don't ever consider not posting as you are a real tonic and have always brought a smile to my face.

I hope the travelling goes as well and quickly as possible for you both.

It is such a shame you are not able to go and enjoy the sun but you are sensible to keep cool if you can. I know you said a cardigan would be painful on your arm but would a light scarf to cover it be an idea?

I am really enjoying the sunshine and spent a couple of hours in the garden with a good book after dragging a lounger and small table into the garden and washing them down. Had salmon and coleslaw for a late lunch and need to water some new plants later on tonight.

The cleaner came round after being away for two weeks and the house looks much better for her efforts. She gets more done in an hour than I can in a day. I took the chance to empty a lot of cardboard boxes from the integral garage, put away the baby pushchair and carry cot which I ordered in a sale so that all the baby things are stored together and even put four carrier bags of clothes hangers on freecycle.

Later in the week I want to do a bit more sorting out in the internal garage so I can find things easily and little used things like Christmas decorations can be stored in a corner that does not block the french windows. Have been very naughty and ordered a couple of loose fitting summer dresses in the sale - sausageinnaskin is not a good look even if I am trying to lose weight. (blush).

    Hugs to all.

    Evening everybody,

We have had our second sunny day......hopefully more to come.

Holly....you sound so much better.....the sun is wonderful.

Csarina.......so sorry to hear that OH fell....presume that he is ok as you haven't said otherwise, take care of yourself.

Dumpling........can I have a 'cwtch' please? Don't know what it is or how the word is pronounced, but it sounds cuddly.

JackieO....so sorry that you are in pain with your arm and feeling miserable, take care....perhaps it might be a good idea to have someone else do Saturday's drive.

dp1......sorry to hear that you are not well and dealing with youngest is so difficult at present........would have to agree with judi on dealing with different ages, and would go as far as 47 from personal experience.

DD1 on dinner duty, we are having pork chops with veg and potatoes.....she was not impressed with the potatoes I bought today....I agree with her, they are Golden Wonders which OH loves but they always have black spots through them which I hate....so back to Roosters asap.

    Enjoy your evening everyone
