Forgot to ask in my earlier post - how easy is it to grow rhubarb & will it grow in a clay based soil? My DH & I love rhubarb but it is soooo expensive
From the amount of effort i took to kill a rhubarb plant i should say dead easy..

Csarina, whatever has been said, has been with love and concern.. you have to believe that and if your going to have a rant then so am i.

I am nothing, i'm his wife, their Mother, the dogs' master and chief looker afterer.... Do i feel valued? No. Do i feel wanted? Yes but for all the wrong reasons.

    There that feels better.

Morning lovelies et bonjour MrsSD ! I knew my school girl French would come in handy one day but I didn't think it would take 60 odd years :D.
We have sun too :shhh:. I'll say it quietly as I don't want to frighten it away just yet.
I have put a load of washing out and the plasterer has arrived at last. Nice man but ex army and as he and Mr Fix It are discussing things military, I have decamped to the bedroom again !
I have had another flare up of my arthritis and am short of breath, sure signs that I am stressed to high heaven :(. I have realised that my problem is that I don't like strangers ( workmen ) in my home, consequently I am not sleeping well, nor eating healthily. I am also snacking on biscuits ( a lot ) but I need to lose weight, not pile it on . Anyway when the plasterer has done his bit there will only be the trim to go around the patio doors and the end can't come soon enough :j. Part of me wishes it wasn't started :( although I keep telling myself it will look nice when it's finished.
    Apologies for moaning.
Later I shall put the lounge back together with Mr Fix It's help and chase the dust around............again :(. It seems to move from one room to another and back :rotfl:.
Dad is also coming to tea today, so we are having fish and chips with mushy peas ( no chips for me ) and Mr Fix It will have a sausage roll and chips. Pudding will be banana splits should the boys fancy one. ( I may have a very, very small portion, baby steps and all that ;) !)
JackieO hope your arm gets better soon.
Csarina sending extra hugs to you. Hope your DH is ok after his fall.
Judi I love a bit of Crackling Rosie and some of Barrie M, just need some Neil Sedaka to finish off and I'm set for the day :rotfl:
ScarlettR enjoy your time in the 'van, as the kids say I'm well jel :D
TA keep thinking positive thoughts ( although it hasn't helped me much :rotfl:)
Hope everyone can enjoy the sunshine today. Take care and hugs to those who need or want them.

Hester, never stop posting :) This is the ideal place to moan & whinge - it is always best to get these things off your chest :rotfl: & everyone is so friendly & sees things differently so that you might read something that makes you smile or guffaw with laughter :rotfl: Sunshine & laughter are both great tonics to life’s grind :):):)

    Morning everyone
I'm moaning too cos I'm in bed with a sicky bug feeling awful. A child was sick all over me earlier in the week so it was inevitable really. So a day off work but I'd rather feel well. Hopefully I may feel a bit better later and can sit outside for a little while.
Having lots of problems with youngest DD (19)at the moment which is causing me lots of stress too.
Never mind....at least the sun is shining!
