LG v10 asking for phone puk code?

Just had my phone ask for the phone puc, can anyone recomend anywhere to get it?

It was bought in the US sim free so I can't to the supplier and LG don't sell them in the UK?

PUK code applies to SIM cards, what is the exact message on the phone?

Had a new Virgin sim, somehow its screwed up the phone (which has worked on networks all over the world) and it's asking for a puk code even when there's no sim in the phone. They say I need to get it unlocked ???
