Euro Car Parts - misleading advertising?
Comments
-
"any part for any car" is simply an advertising slogan.
Does anyone really believe that Redbull gives you wings or that you really can "taste the rainbow"?
Come to think of it, ask an Australian if they really wouldn't give a XXXX for anything apart from Castlemaine lager0 -
There's no pot in pot purri
There's no hash in hash browns
I'm not even going to try muffins...0 -
ECP are expensive, they are a retail business not Trade, I'm in the trade and buy loads from eBay, better quality, Better Price and next day delivery, do not be fooled by ECP, 50% off if you shop in the next hour, they are highly inflated prices to start withWe may not win by protesting, but if we don’t protest we will lose.
If we stand up to them, there is always a chance we will win.0 -

They're nothing more or better than a gang of schoolyard bullys.
Oh come on, should we really just indulge that sort of Daily Mail instilled "outrage" over a slogan that you cant actually take literally?
And for the record from their website....Euro_Car_Parts wrote:
Euro Car Parts - Any Part for Any Car!
We specialise in all the major car parts - brake pads, blades, batteries, bulbs and all the essential car maintenance essentials - engine oil, car fluids - all available to order online today!
I'm not seeing any mention of bumpers or headlights and i'm not seeing mention of JAPANESE cars, therefore no need for someone to be outraged or aggrieved.0 -

What level of trade are you in to recommend Ebay?
I have always haggled with ECP (just down the road) and find they can match most online prices0 -
I spend about a grand a month with them, for stuff i need on a daily bases, like you want your car back today, I offer my customers the choice today or cheaper, like for example Driveshafts for my X5 ECP wanted about £250 for their Q Drive which is their cheap brand, I got 2 driveshafts From A supplier I have used loads of time and had no problems with them and a lifetime guarantee for £69.00 the pair, this was my car so had time to shop around, driveshafts have been on car about a year now and no problems, I have fitted these to cars for over 3 years and never had one back.We may not win by protesting, but if we don’t protest we will lose.

So basically the lowest level of trade, that's why your prices are so high!
And branches of ecp will for big customers get things like this from main dealer but for a walk in counter customer it's not worth the time and hassle0 -
Its totally overstated, I use Euro Car Parts from time to time along with other motor factors. The claim "Any part for any car" is truly not correct "Most parts for most cars" I would accept.
I have mentioned this to ASA however they did not act.0 -
