URGENT: County Court Claim

So I have dropped off my witness statement off to the court.
Does anyone have an email for Gladstones so I can email them a copy?
Quite nervous for Court on Thursday. Ain’t a clue what to say. So essentially, will I be taking a copy of my witness statement and going through this?0 -
I think my Witness Statement is quite weak and I really don’t think I’ll do well talking in court.
My hope is even if I lose, I will refer to the settlement off Gladstones emailed ne. Hopefully the judge I will only have to pay 3 x 60 does not make me pay anymore than 3 x £600 -
I can understand your apprehension, but it's not like you see on the telly.
Have a look at this short video:

A copy of everything:
- your defence
- your WS
- proof that you emailed a copy to Gladstones (print out your sent email showing that it had the evidence attachments, or their rep will typically lie that they didn't receive it)
- their WS and their crappy non-evidence
- all your evidence
- highlight in the transcripts where the sentences are useful...you can see that for yourself and must read them & understand them!
- write yourself a crib sheet, summarising your defence points so you can move on to the next point if the Judge isn't happy with the last one
- mark their WS, sentence by sentence with a highlighter and notes, reminding yourself of the issues you must have with their rubbish/errors/assumptions/lack of evidence.
dress smartly, like for a job interview, look like you mean business. Get there half an hour early to get though security and to give yourself time for water/loo break or just to sit and read your notes.
Do not accept any papers from the rep, outside the court room.
Stay calm and call the Judge Sir or Ma'am.

Hi guys,
So just finished from the hearing. A Euro Parking Services employee was there on the companies behalf, no one from Gladstone’s.
Turns out they didn’t pay the court fee for two of the three claims and submitted no evidence for the final one so the judge dismissed the case! The look and reaction on the face of the representative was priceless!
The judge advised I could not claim court costs as I am self-employed. I was unsure on the rulings on this so I had to go with it.
Judge asked how I got to court. Advised by taxi. Asked if there was any reason I didn’t come by bus or train I said taxi was more convenient. Judge offered a court order for £3 which I politely declined. More effort than its worth.
But all in all chuffed to have won the case. I can’t thank you guys enough for all your help, and special thanks to Coupon Mad.0 -
Well done Mr A. How did the other defendant get on. Were they equally baffled by the whole thing? This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
