St Helens county court. The judge had been changed from the original scheduled lady judge to DDJ Causton.
You will find the link to HX's original website in my posts 106 and 107. Regards.

    That is fantastic news.

Was St Helens court your choice?

Hi ibcus. Yes, St Helens was my choice, it's actually my nearest court even though I have a Liverpool post code.
Many thanks for your help, especially the witness statement. I've got a couple of points that may help in your own defence. I'll move over to your own posts and point them out. Regards.

Incidentally, some of the parking meters outside of the court only require 2 digits to be entered.

Have you complained to your MP? You should.

Yes, I complained to my MP early on in the process, he contacted them and received the stock reply, what a nice company they are and that they allow for human error, but the PCN was correctly issued.
They told him, as a gesture of good will (?) they would reduce the amount back to £60 for 2 weeks, they then sent me a demand for £85 only 5 days later.

I'm guessing there're 7 digits/letters in your number plate so only 4 correct ones leaves three missing; and their limit appears to be two.

Strange they only say "digits", does that exclude letters?
As a software programmer, sounds like whomever wrote that text was counting in base 36 (0-9 + A-Z): you can think of a VRN as being a 7-digit (character) base 36 vehicle identifying number*

    * With the caveat that the current format has the first 2 characters as a "sold area" identifier, the next 2 digits as a "sold year" identifier, and the remainder being randomly assigned to identify the individual vehicle.

How's this for a coincidence. I purchased a chiropractor deal on Groupon because of a back complaint. I didn't read the full details I just phoned up to make an appointment, and guess where the practice is. Of all the places in the North West where it could be, it's in the same street in Wigan where my PCN was issued! Just a few doors down.
I won't be using HX's car park, that's for sure, but I will be using some of my costs award to pay for the course of treatment. Who says there isn't a plan to the universe. Regards.

Hi, I've just received the judgement from my court case, listing the judge's decision to dismiss the case and ordering the claimant to pay me the awarded costs.

Do I need to claim the costs from the PPC, or do the court contact them direct. Also how long do they have to make payment. Regards.
