    My brakes used to squeak when cold e.g when first few times driving off. Then one day there was a loud bang and the squeak doesn't happen any more.

    Diesel 207 too but not had them checked yet though. :)

    I had a VW transporter in for a brake noise he said it been like that all though Europe, when I took the rear wheels off there was no pad the piston was braking on the disc, so new pads, disc's and caliper,
    £500.00 instead of £50.00
