Sony Ericsson K810i slow saving pics :(

I've got a Sony Ericsson K810i, which when I take a pic takes ages to save.
I have compared it to a Sony Ericsson K800i and it is 10 seconds slower saving even though I have the same settings :(

Is there a firmware update that can solve this problem?

do you have the timestamp on?

this is often the cause of slow saving times. my k810i on R1KG001 saves a pic in 2secs without a timestamp and 20seconds with a timestamp.

to urn the timestamp off you need to go into the camera > settings > time and date stamp

according to the firmware overview on esato, R6BC002 improves the speed taken to save photos with the timestamp on

Thanks - The saving of pics has improved now, but its strange that a Sony Ericsson K800i with time stamp saves fast?

Is R1KG001 a firmware version - how do I check mine and install a new one and from where?

R1KG001 and R6BC002 are both firmware revisions for the k810i

R6BC002 is the most recent generic (unbranded) one, with R1KG being the latest one for branded phones (eg ones on tmobile/virgin/o2)

to check the firmware revision, type >*<<*<* (where < and > are joystick directions), service info, software info. the firmware that is installed on it will be the 1st line of writing you see.

to update it, you can use SEUS
