stretch forum skin

Options
What happened to the stretch forum skin?

I have a wide-screen monitor and the forums are stuck in the middle with a third of the screen blank on each side.

Bring back the stretchy setting.

I go out for an hour, and the forum changes.
Put it back to how it was please. This is too compact and looks horrible.
    Thanks

Mine has also changed and the forums look skinny now.

I use the "old" green style forum, which is far easier on the eyes than the new skin.

Mine is doing same, within the last hour it has changed from Old Forum Version to New Version off it's own back despite me being subscribed in User CP for Old Version, and it won't change back!

    Hi folks

    Turning off old forum versions

Work to switch the forum to HTTPS needs to be done on all versions (skins) of the forum. To reduce the time and resource it takes to make the switch we need to switch off some of those old forum skins and migrate the forum members who are on them to a newer skin (the one prior to the new blue skin). This will affect around 1,000 of you. You will still be on an old, green version of the Forum and will, of course, still be able to choose to switch to the newest, blue version if you decide to. We're sorry this may affect your use of the Forum. Our priority, though, has to be the security of the site.

    MSE Forum Team.

User CP > Edit Options > Miscellaneous Options > Forum Skin

The New Masthead, stretchy is no longer an option.

If you want green you must choose New Masthead, fixed width

If you want blue you can choose Use Forum Default

If you choose the green version and don't like the space at each side then you can Zoom the page by 110% or 125%. This is especially useful for those with sight problems.

Under User CP there is an option at the bottom of the Control Panel (L/H side), for "Former Version Manager, > Manage Version" , you then have two options, Old Version or Latest Version, mine was and still is Old Version, but despite "Save Changes" it still shows Latest Version!

This is nothing to do with the Masthead but the Version Display.

I assumed the initial change was someone messing due to the forum lag.
However seems like a concious decision for some unknown reason.

Using the Stylish extension for Chrome / Firefox, create the following new style:
    #forum_container { width:100% !important; }

Apply to the moneysavingexpert.com domain and it's streched again :)
