Understanding Sky package

I'm not too far from the end of my contract. Sky restructures the package from time to time.
This is where I sit at the moment:
[1] Boxsets £39.50
[2] Sports £28.00
[3] HD Basic £0
[4] Sports HD £6
[5] Sky Q Multiscreen £12
Total £85.50
I am rather stuck with [2] to [5] which are demanded by my father in law. But is there a lesser entertainment package than [1]?

I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. Some people make "typos" but I often make "speakos".

Entertainment is the base package, box sets the top one.0

At full price and assuming you agree to a minimum term , Entertainment is £20 and now includes what was Variety, except for the children's programmes. Boxed sets (literally just that) is an extra £5 and HD another £5. However, most people get this reduced.0

Thank you, both. This is helpful. We were previously told that Boxed Sets (and Children could not be removed) was the cheapest way forward. We don't require Children or the Boxed Sets themselves, so £20 +£5 might be the correct price.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. If you move to Entertainment and build from there then you can remove the kids and box sets. On the older packages you can't remove the children's channels on any level and Box Sets was the next one up from Variety.0

Thank you, all. I spoke to Sky very politely today using your price points and got the price down by about third. That is close to the amount that I thought it reasonable to pay.I have osteoarthritis in my hands so I speak my messages into a microphone using Dragon. The agreement will only last a year, at which you will habe to phone them again, and at the 3rd time they say no.Do you want your money back, and a bit more, search for 'money claim online' - They don't like it up 'em Captain Mainwaring0

It's standard for the offers to only be for 12 months. But I've never had Sky say no to a discount. The last 4 years I've had at least half price discounts. Last year they even extended my 60% off discount for another year without me asking.0
