Sky ADSL customers CHECK YOUR BILL FOR HIDDEN CHARGES (Sky Talk Evenings and Weekends Extra @ £4 pm)

Yes, and I have realised I have been ripped off!Sky have now admitted that they didn't email me (the one occasion where they changed my billing amount and failed to email me in the 4 years I have been a customer).
More chillingly they have also just stated "No other letters would have been sent regarding the Price Increase and the onus is on the customer to check their billing and contact Sky directly if there are any queries regarding this." and "regarding any changes in prices, all pricing and packaging is subject to change, this information is included within your terms and conditions".
Glad I am no longer a customer! Be warned!0 -
No (and I have Sky ADSL)So you have got your 100% refund then? Good news.
Whether or not the onus is, or should be, on the customer, it is definitely in the customers best interests to regularly check all bills paid, and bank accounts etc. No company (like the people that run them, and the people that use them) is mistake free so sometimes things will happen that shouldn't. But regular checking of bills/statements will nip this in the bud immediately.
The bit about packages and prices being subject to change is by no means exclusive to Sky and will probably be in every communications providers Ts&Cs.0 -
