My daughter initiated a partial transfer (pre April 2017 balance) of her Halifax HTB ISA to her Skipton LISA in January. This necessitated filling in an online application form and then printing out a transfer authority which had to be signed and posted back to Skipton. Everything seemed fine and the transfer showed up as "pending". However they never received the signed form. After contacting them there was a delay in them emailing a new transfer authority form. The correct address to send the form to was confirmed. A second signed form was posted (FAO a particular member of staff) at the beginning of March with proof of posting and it was never received. Later in March a third form was posted and never received. Has anyone had a similar problem. Is there any point in making a complaint? She has contacted them to cancel the transfer altogether - it is better to keep the Halifax HTB ISA fully funded. Her Skipton LISA has £4000 funded pre 6/4/18 but without the addition of the £4284 from her HTB ISA.

If all three posted forms never arrived then it's hard to see what they've done wrong, even though it sounds suspicious.
If your daughter only used proof of posting then it's her word against theirs, but if she used recorded delivery then that would be different as it would then be possible to show that they'd received one, which would then make them accountable for failure to action it....0

Skipton informed my daughter today that the transfer of £4284 went through on the 5/4/18 (the last possible day!) despite a secure message on the 4/4/18 stating that the transfer authority form had still not been received. I can understand that the last few weeks will have been hectic at Skipton but I am not pleased at the accuracy of their replies. Yes - a recorded delivery letter would have avoided all this hassle.0

Sometimes you don't want to ask how the magic trick worked so just take the result and move on.0
