I have been in communication with Ryan Air but they are insistent that £25.99 is correct......how can that be 2 fares?
I am unsure how to post a creenshot of their reply.
They have now said they are correct and the case is closed.0 -
How much effort are you going to put into reclaiming 1p? How much is your time worth?0

No more effort here for sure.
I often look at MSE General site and find it useful.
Today I have discovered that there are supportive people on the forum, sadly also too many judgemental pontificating comments.
To those who tried to help, thank you for that.
To those who just wished to judge ..... enjoy banging away on your keyboards.0 -
Its the same thing if there's a behind the scenes currency conversion. Thanks for comments.
New to forums, I get the point re currency but not rounding.
£12.994 x 2 = £25.988 which rounds to £25.99.It's just I have a screenshot which clearly says:
2 x £12.99 = £25.99.
This is clearly incorrect.
While I would agree that they should always price to two decimal points (or round down) it's not something to lose sleep over.
Perhaps another day you'll just book two singles and get £25.98.
Or they'll have an underlying price of £12.986 which shows as £12.99 but when applied twice is £25.972 and will price excitingly to £12.97.0 -

The bar for finding things to complain about in here has reached a new low.0

At 12.99 each to fly somewhere, I probably wouldn't mind them rounding up to 26 .. Seriously, reality check needed.0

You actually wasted time and effort over 1p?
To put it another way. The difference between £25.98 and £25.99 is 0.038%.
If you had £10,000 invested and the interest that you received was too low by less than 4p, would you honestly be too worried?0
