Um, yes they did, in their opening post (and paddyandstumpy quoted it and even bolded the phrase). Here it is again for you:mikesmoney wrote: »Hi
I've had the unpleasant experience of Tesco Bank - despite clear instructions not to auto renew my insurance - thieving £440 out of my bank account on the date of insurance expiry.
I emailed them at the time requesting no auto renewal. When they sent a reminder congratulating me on the news that they were going to steal £440 - not only money to which they are not entitled, and for which they are providing no service - but a sum almost double that of the previous years insurance or of any renewal quote - anyway, I immediately emailed back repeating my year-old demand not to auto renew. Some days later they auto renewed, completely ignoring my email. I emailed again, and again, and registered a complaint with a statutory body - the only link or point of contact of any kind on the letter they emailed me as an attachment (I had to email a 'do not reply' address, and then a customer service generic - there was no 'contact us')
Now almost two months later a customer service girl is calling a home number about 'my complaint'.
Has anyone else had a bad experience with Tesco? It seems it's not worth the risk taking insurance with them, no matter how cheap it is.0
