    Afternoon all,
I'm having one of "those" days. I woke up with a headache, which will not go, then I ran over my foot with the X trainer . Thought that was going to be an A & E job, but I can walk on it and the bruise is coming out now. We wanted a few things from the garden centre as we have some vouchers to spend, got there, then realised I'd left them at home . So we had a look around and treated ourselves to a coffee, but no cake :naughty:. We called in Al*is on the way home, it was very busy and some items I wanted were OOS ( no cucumbers! ) So I'm glad to be home.
This afternoon I have tidied the DGC toys away and sorted the spare bedroom ready for the window man on Monday. I'm hoping he will start at the front upstairs, as we have to move the spare bed too. It's only a single but it's one of those electric ones and it weighs a ton. I have been going to replace it but I haven't got around to it yet, as it needs dismantling, so another "put off" job :(. My "to do"list just keeps on growing and growing . The trouble is that I need Mr Fix It's help for a lot of these jobs and he's got a long list of his own :rotfl:.
Anyway I'm waffling/moaning, so I will have a coffee and then peer into the freezer for some inspiration as we are back on the diet train, Mr Fix IT has already lost 2lb this week :). I haven't yet plucked up the courage to weigh myself !
Holly lovely to have you back, now look after yourself. Baby steps, baby steps.
TA I hope Mr TA feels better and the stent op goes well for him. Glad Margot is enjoying the rehearsals, Coppelia is one of my favs.
LaineyT please post. I don't think they are boring at all.
Speky sorry your date ( Gran ) let you down :rotfl:
MrsSD My windows need cleaning too, but is it extreme of me to have them replaced instead :D
Right better get on, sorry I have forgotten half of the posts I wanted to reply to. I've got brain fog again !
I shall send the Sandman out tonight for the sleepless, healing thoughts for the poorly, and hugs for the worried or lonely. Take care all.

Ah Nelski, that was one of my favourite programmes as a child, for obvious reasons :D That and Follyfoot Farm, guess I was always destined to have my own white horse...

Yes, Black Beauty was another favourite, seem to remember that always being on Sunday afternoon for some reason...fire at the stables sounds very scary indeed.
Once a horse girl, always a horse girl.....I came back to riding in my 40th year after giving it up in my late teens and despite the huge hole in my bank balance wouldn’t change a thing :D

Older dd has just phoned to say that youngest dd will be staying over with her and sil tonight and that they are coming over around one tomorrow to take me for a walk. I offered to cook a cottage pie but as I am not sure if I am cooking for four or six of us it had better be a huge one.

It looks as if youngest might be going out with friends tomorrow night so she will need a bite to eat at tea time and a late breakfast so will pick up a loaf tomorrow morning and do a quick tidy .

I always remember a Dicken's serial on Sundays around tea time on tv or else one of the Bronte's or Jane Austen.

    Hugs to all

Holly......so glad that you are at home, take things easy and just relax in your own space, eat well and get yourself a little fresh air if you can.

Its been a busy day, ferrying granddaughters from one aunt to the next....all home now and dinner eaten, so settling down to an evening of knitting and watching rugby.

    JackieO.....enjoy your time in IoW.

It rained heavily all morning, stopped now and forecast to be fine tomorrow so will try to do a little in the garden.

    Enjoy your weekend everyone.

  • ELONA I always used to enjoy the Dickens serialisations on BBC every Sunday too. Me and my dad digesting every word whilst my mum washed up the tea things. We also enjoyed the Wilkie Collins serials too. The re-makes these days are just not the same! xx
