If you are going to need more lenses of the same prescription in the not too distant future, why not contact the company again and ask if you can keep the duplicated order at a discount?
That way they don't have to organise and pay for them to be collected and you get to keep both lots.0 -

I have had an email today from them saying that I have either return the order or pay for the duplicate. Can someone give me an idea of where I stand.
Now it is clearer, it is much easier for you/us to understand.
You can either pay for the duplicate or return it.
