Evening Diary, just checking in. Thanks so much for the replies and advice guys. DH has done a complete 180 and is now thinking of ways he can HELP me reduce my debt! I am bloomin' gobsmacked! Really gobsmacked! However, I have already taken FULL ownership of my mess - and I've told him I'm doing it by myself thanks. I don't need him to get me out of it. I need ME to change - I know that - I need ME to grow and develop new habits. I feel like I need to teach myself some new tricks. I'm definitely on a learning curve, and strangely it feels good. II've now told him that we need to sort out the bank accounts - I'm moving mine to where our mortgage is, as they didn't do a credit check when we redid the mortgage this time - just lowered the interest rate. We got a discount for having his account with them too, so we might get further discount for me having accounts there too even if my credit rating is shot to bits! I can remove my name from the joint account fairly easily I imagine, if not we will move the account. I'm worried about self managing and getting CCJs, so I'm going to contact SC when I get my next wage slip from school, as that'll show the correct wage I'm getting. My self employed bit is so variable, I can't really count on that bit I know the minimum I get so can include that as part of my income.

On the minus side, he's thrown his toys out of the pram and is selling his rented house to 'we buy any house' for peanuts, and is selling our beloved caravan we acquired last year - I cried about that in bed last night lol, it's been a real sanctuary for me! I'm guessing part of him wants to punish me for being such a bad girl. I said 'do what you want then' so he said that's what he wants to do. He said he won't divorce me over the debts though.

I love this diary, it really helps me to see a bit more clearly. And it's good for me to go back and read what I've planned to do as my life is so busy doing these 2 jobs, running the home and looking after my kid that I forget where I'm up to sometimes!

I need to be firmer with myself about taking action rather than just planning now!

I really love the support and advice I get too, from other members - it means so much to know you're not alone and get that kick up the jacksy when you need it! I hope I can pay it forward one day and help someone who may end up in a similar situation.

    Night x
