Morning everyone,
Thanks for the update on Holly Nelski and for keeping us all up to date with news, much appreciated x
Sorry to hear about your friend RR.
Off out to the shops soon as need a few bits of fresh veg etc then we are meeting youngest DSS and his GF for lunch, my beloved has been quiet over the last few days and I know he is upset that neither of his boys had made the effort to see him over Easter so I was pleased when he finally got a text yesterday.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Good morning all
Thank you for starting us off nmlc
Redruby, sorry to hear about your client, so sad.
Hope Holly is home and back with us soon
Nelski, you've been so kind keeping us up to date with news from Holly, thank you
I made soup yesterday but didn't add enough stock, you could have eaten it with a knife and fork before I added extra liquid. On the plus side we have enough for todays lunch as well
Hope you all have a good dayIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Good morning all,
How are we? It!!!8217;s been a while.
I hope everyone had a nice Easter.
I!!!8217;ve been busy, mostly with work. I!!!8217;m reading a book just now, called the 4 Hour Work Week by Tim Ferriss. I like all his stuff, very much self-help kinda genre. The part I!!!8217;m on which has had a real effect, revolves around Parkinsons Law, which states that a task takes up the amount of time you give it. For example, let!!!8217;s say painting a room. If I gave you 1 week to do it, you!!!8217;d take 1 week. If I then said, I need it done in 1 day, you!!!8217;d somehow make it work. Put another way, !!!8220;if you wait till the last minute, it!!!8217;ll only take a minute!!!8221;.
So I!!!8217;ve been super productive, particularly in work and I worked over Easter on Friday and Monday. Anyway. I digress.
Aside from work, I!!!8217;ve not much to report. Ticking along nicely.
Hope everyone is ok. Thoughts particularly to Holly.0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one.
Whats with the numbers and letters over everything, drives me nuts, I want to read waht people say.
Bright morning, coloured load in the washer, I am hoping to get it on the line before we go out to the coffee morning at the little chapel, no lunch today we will be full of what ever is to eat. OH needs to go for his siesta early, its the cleaners day, have a couple of extra jobs for them to do, the chandelier in the bedroom needs a clean, so we need to take it down and dunk it in a bucket of hot soapy water. Could do with the inside of the windows doing as well.
Thanks to Nelski for keeping us up to date with Holly. I hope once she is home the team will remember the way she was treated before she went into hospital and clean up their act. The whole things was so very badly handled, she was subject to a lot of unnecessary stress, I am afraid I would be putting in a complaint to the relevant authority.
Quiche tonight, not sure what we will have with it, may be jacket spuds and some sort of salad.0 -
Morning all
There is sun in the sky am so glad i got my bathers washed from holibobs :rotfl:
I need to finish the ironing its all the horrible stuff so i will have to see if i can fit it in my busy schedule of tea drinking and list making:D
Dolly has been walked and is snoozing she has her monthly pamper session later so i may walk her straight after as it will be a different park i haven't been to
Ruby how sad for you all hopefully your happy memories will get you through tomorrow x
Fingers crossed for Holly coming home tomorrow
Nmic hope the machines are all working for you today
Dumpling great news that Phoebe has been enjoying Englands Spring hope she isn't too wet but sounds like big steps are being made x
Hugs to all who need them and have a great day whatever you are up to x0 -
Happy birthday TA's DD, I hope the rehearsals go well.
Good to see you back Speky.
Dumpling, well done on your determination to get out, I hope Phoebe is not too cold and wet.
We've made it up to Yorkshire but the rain has followed us, it's really depressing. We need to find somewhere halfway dry to walk the puplet, I might just send DH out with her, light a fire to raise my spirits and do my jigsaw.0 -
I've woken up to a very wet and windy day and I am a bit worried as Phoebe went camping for the night last night in a farmer's field with her friends. I hope she isn't too wet and cold, I have kept the washing machine free so she can shove everything in there when she returns.
Kids eh? Should be a laugh though.Whats with the numbers and letters over everything, drives me nuts, I want to read waht people say.
Read this Csarina.
Rather wet outside today. Had to dodge the showers to clean up after the hounds today.
Slept rather poorly last night. I didnt go to sleep till 1 and i was awake at 4.30. It will take me a few nights to get used to sleeping on my own again.
Eldest hound needs to go to the vets again. Im hoping its just a chest infection thats spread from her gammy eye. Cant bear to think its her heart but of course, i know Cavaliers are prone to bad hearts and she does have a heart murmur... well they both do. Grump recons its the cavity wall insulation thats making her cough. He blames everything on the cavity wall insulation.
Talking about dogs, only the most 'seasoned' dog walkers are out walking their dogs today.
Welcome back Speky.
Onwards and forwards,
have a great day all. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Morning all
Thanks for the thread nmlc, hugs to those in need.
I'm at Ds's, I've put food down for the cats but there is no sign of them, they must be asleep.
I'm using Ds's washing machine 3 loads in total but he doesn't mind
I'm taking my car to the garage soon as the brakes are noisy, more money spent.
Have a good day everyone.
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all, duck weather here again
. Anyone know when the Ark will be ready ?
I slept heavily last night so I'm not firing on all cylinders yet. My head is in the shed and my body has gone to ground somewhere. Typical as the DGC are arriving about 1pm for a sleep over, I hope they have some extra energy for me :rotfl:.
I have already seared the chicken fillets and made my sweet and sour sauce ready for teatime, Mr Fix It will make a chinese style turkey curry and we'll have egg fried rice/chips too. There's fruit, jelly with ice cream or Angel cake for pudding.
Apologies if my post is disjointed as Mr Fix It is chewing my ear off about a bungalow for sale !
Righty Ho time for a very strong coffee and I'm going to find some ear plugs, he's still chopsing.
Oh I almost forgot, we won the lottery last night ......... a whole £2.80 :j. Must spend that wisely, don't think it would run to buying that bungalow :rotfl:
TA please wish your DD a happy birthday and good luck to Margot !
RedRuby so sorry to hear about your client.
Judi hope your dog is ok.
NMLC I am hoping that today will be better for you.
Snoozer you could have taken my rain with you to Yorkshire too :rotfl:
Csarina A chandelier in the bedroom eh ! Now that's what I call posh
Nelski behave yourself with that lawnmower man !
Hope everyone has a good day, hugs to all and fingers crossed that Holly returns to the fold tomorrow.Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Nannywindow you’re on the wrong thread for the ark. Mardatha was the one knitting that on the Garden Fence Thread last year.:D
