From FB:
Facebook is a community where people use their authentic identities. It's against the Facebook Community Standards to maintain more than one personal account.
People connect on Facebook using their authentic identities. When people stand behind their opinions and actions with their authentic name and reputation, our community is more accountable. If we discover that you have multiple personal profiles, we may ask you to close the additional profiles. We also remove any profiles that impersonate other people.
If you want to create a presence on Facebook for your pet, organisation, favourite film, games character or another purpose, please create a Page instead of a Facebook Profile. Pages can help you conduct business, stay in touch with fans or promote a cause you care about.
We work hard to help ensure that the information you share is secure. We investigate any suspected breach of security. Any attempt to compromise the security of a Profile, including fraud, may be referred to law enforcement. Using misleading or inaccurate information to artificially collect likes, followers or shares is not allowed.
From me: I find it very strange to post on a forum that you are breaking the rules of another platform. If I see someone entering under multiple users on FB I will and do report.

Yeah breaking Facebook rules to start with...
Not gonna even get into anything else0 -
I'm not being funny but why does anyone care if someone is breaking Facebook rules, it doesn't affect your life ... frankly, what's it got to do with you? / what's it got to do with the OP's original question?
Every single one of you has probably broken a competition rule by entering a Free Radio Competition or a Gem106 or whatever other radio station where the title clearly states "### listeners" ... or completed a survey about a visit without ever visiting, making up a date for your imaginary wedding etc etc ... I don't know if these are actual "rules" for these competitions but I bet you don't either and I bet you don't care ... so why do you care about Facebook's rules?!
Is it not "cheating" to come in here and get the answers posted for you, when some people go out, pay £5 or whatever for a magazine and then work out the answers for themselves?0 -
There was a thread just this week about people using false names and false dates of birth is that not lying/cheating being deceitful?
Do we not all get the answers to 1000s of competitions per year using this forum?
Does anyone read the Ts & Cs of every single competition before they hit enter?

Thank you
We might be having a different discussion if the OP had said he enters competitions with all four facebook accounts but he clearly said he didn't do that and only uses one account for entering competitions, so I have no idea what the problem is. (assuming OP is a he, sorry if that's not correct)0 -

Morning all
My issue with this is that a forum member comes to ask for advice to help with how they share around the 4 FB accounts.
I read the post as:
I have 4 fb accounts (so am breaking that platforms rules) can you give me advice on if my shares are valid for comp entries?
My answer is: No you should not have the 4 accounts so you are on your own.total wins 2013 £5500 2014 £7500 2015 £23,900 2016 £10,650 2017 £13,040 2018 £10,620 2019 £10,115 2020 £3970.00

But my argument stands ... why does it matter to you if he's breaking the Facebook rules? It's irrelevant (The fact that you break competition rules almost every day just screams hypocritical to me so forgive me for not understanding your logic on this)
How about we rephrase the original question ... "If I have a comping "friend" from the "Follow me thread", if I share a competition post as a private share with the friend, will it still count as an entry?"0 -
I don!!!8217;t think my reply was judgemental or hypocritical. I answered the post in question. I pointed out the risks of having multiple accounts but that!!!8217;s up to the op. The question answers itself really. Whether a competition asks for a public share or not if you share to only me, or to a select group of people then those are the only people who will be able to see that share, nobody else, promoter included can.You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.
