facebook competitions

I have 4 facebook accounts. When I have to share a post for an entry I share it with myself as a private message so I don't distrubt my friends. I noticed a few days ago that after a competition had picked their 3 winners someone posted that the winners had not shared and it was redrawn.
How can other users tell if I have reposted as a private message or not?

I have one FB account! How do you cope with four?! I cannot confirm this, but I have been told that promotors can tell how you have shared.

Not quite sure why you have four accounts? Facebook terms say you should only have one but I know some do have comping accounts and then personal ones and manage to get away with it although I've heard others have had accounts closed.

You've basically answered your own question though. How can others tell if you've shared privately? They can't. Promoters look for public shares if you share via message or to friends only etc then it won't show up on their list of shares. It will show numbers wise but not the actual share
You never know how strong you are until being strong is the only choice you have.

  • Yea, a private message share won!!!8217;t count. Unfortunately the whole point of promoters expecting you to like and share is so it gets their product in front of a wide range of people. I tend to limit my Facebook comp entries only to things I really want so as not to annoy my friends too much.

First of all, i'd be careful about having 4 accounts if its spotted by Facebook or someone reports you for having multiple accounts you'll lose them.

Second of all, you need to be posting publicly for anyone even the companies to see. It cannot be proved otherwise.

Simply if you share your with yourself privately then the promoters can see the post even if you tag them in the message. You have to share on your own page then ( for those who are unsure how to) then click on the top right of the shared post and edit privacy and change to public.

or you can create a public facebook group and share to that

Does each of your four accounts have a different name?

Looks like not all of you read this weeks news letter, it was mentioned that some of us have a separate account just for competitions. "The temptation's to set up two Facebook accounts, yet it's against Facebook's rules to have two, and a few MoneySavers have been banned for this." I also run a couple of accounts for groups that I am involved with.
I also have 2 twitter accounts my personal one and one for competitions, on my comp one I am following 810 competition setters, only 70 have followed me back.
