Destination2.co.uk

Has anyone booked through Destination2.co.uk before? I found their site through Trivago and they seem to have some very good prices for Dubai flights and hotels, but I am a bit nervous about booking with them as I haven’t heard of them before. Would appreciate feedback from others who have used them before.

Never heard of them, but their website registration shows that their owner is HolidayGems - whether that's a good thing or not I don't know, as I've never heard of them either.

The majority of those reviews look like obvious fakes to me, I'd avoid them for that reason alone.

So am I the only person on here to use them then?;)

Anyway I had separately booked a flight to Abu Dhabi last year but due to the problems with Qatar Airways I could not guarantee I was going until the day before. I had searched various web sites and came up with Destination2 as preferable rates for half board accommodation. After a few phone calls back and to I booked 2 hotels on a non-refundable basis.

The hotels were as booked. Unfortunately after day 2 we had to return home for compassionate reasons so basically lost out on the remaining 5 days accommodation. The hotel said to ask Destination 2 to request a refund under the circumstances but as expected nothing came of this. There were more important things in life than a few £000 refund so just wrote it off.

I would consider using them again as the selection and price of the accommodation was very competitive compared to my usual booking agents.

Well I know at least one of those reviews isn't fake;)
  • Just used destination2 and had the worse experience with them. WATCH OUT. Had to call them 6 times to resolve a issue in one day and got fobbed off evertime. Their customer service team was even worse! very abrupt and cold. When they finally solved my problem they charged me £50! Im a frequent travellor and I would never ever recommend this company - STAY AWAY

  • Destination 2 is a SCAM . This company put Hotels on websites like Trivago that are not available . Then then take the booking knowing it's not available , take a deposit which will take months for you to get refunded and then try to sell you a more expensive hotel . It is all a SCAM. The three directors hold positions with Holiday Gems and Travcorp holdings. All Scams. The address they use has 7 other companies listed , all associated with Destination 2. Their accounts are bad and it's only a matter of time. Complain to Neil Latham . Jason Edwards or Tony Carty .
Beware if you use them you may loose all your money .

Report them to Trivago or Trading Standards . Only way to stop these scammers

Mine most certainly is not fake !!
  • I had booked my flights for the bank holiday the 26th to Abu Dhabi
Tickets sent over to me multiple times in different order and confusing
Missed my middle name on the booking and never been allowed to fly (me and my wife)
Tried calling them to add the middle name but they were off and no customer service line working to deal with my problem
Their website doesn't give you the option to manage your tickets but only to make payments
Lost flight, accommodation and taxi to and from the airport
Called them today and they were tripping over themselves trying to blame me that I never got the middle names right in the first place
    Awfull experience
Here I am £1600 short and still in uk without a refund or anything
KEEP WELL OF THESE PEOPLE AS THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY AND NOT LOOK AFTER YOU
