Maybe the rough side of sticky velcro if you could find a white one, I would think it would act to break up the water droplet stopping the splatting noise?0

Water soluble, yes but you can get water resistant and waterproof types of PVA. I believe that all types of PVA are water soluble, until they dry.daveyjp said:
