Hooray! Another NSD for me. It's been quite a quiet weekend again. Four
mile walk yesterday then general hanging about today. Girls going crackers so sent them out on a scavenger hunt which was fairly successful.
I've done my meal planning for next week which is always helpful. More overtime today and Tuesday. Tiring but Still. Onwards and upwards.

10/10 NSD for me! Hooray!!! Not the end of the month so I'll see if I can squeeze in a couple more.
Current dilemma. I did A LOT of overtime in the last two months. Meaning I will get an extra £4K. Enough for a new PC which is great as the current one is old and slow and I'd like one the children can use. Do I spend it on a new PC (it'll be a mac with editing software for work, means I don't need to use the laptop) or put it on the credit card?
A new computer is needed and I can't think of another way of having one without getting using credit

Signed up for the February challenge. I'm aiming for 12 this month as I loved it last month, made me feel a bit more in control. Got off the phone from the garage- car is going to be 450 quid! Dammit dammit dammit. It's new to me but has been sitting for a while so I guess that's the reason. Just annoying as I had worked extra last month to save a little buffer. Dammit but at least I can pay it without getting into debt.

Still here. Still plugging away. When I started this diary I think I was £8.5k but now I'm just short of £6k. I think that's pretty good considering children, house, car and all other things that are trying to derail me!

Any chance to clear that debt is hard work but will be worth it in the end. I am on the same journey as you, like you, I'm a nurse too. But I want to have finances in order before any added responsibilities. Like you, extra shifts save me. Depending on how many I get in a month, I put them straight to savings and leave the little extra for my treats.

Thanks,  nice to hear from a fellow nurse! I’m so sick of it, things keep popping up! I’m doing the NSD challenge too which really helps keep me focussed

Ah revitalising my old diary. Back to the grindstone I guess. I've just updated my signature and found that I have cleared £2k in that time! That's the overdrafts. I've been doing a tonne of OT and thats what's done it. I am back doing NSD and Small DFW challenges..

I am still here and still plugging away. Debt stand at 5900 which is not as good as I would like given the time elapsed but the overdrafts are both gone. Just credit card to go. I am so tired of all of it, though. So utterly tired of constant work to clear debt. It doesn't seem fair. I constantly compare to others with bigger house. And I shouldn't I know I shouldn't. Comparison is the thief of joy
