Apparently it is Vodafone....but can anyone identify which section ?

    This a Vodafone "retention" call centre, they call you after you cancel your contract or request a PAC.

    If it's retentions I'd be more inclined to think its in-house.

  • Well according to the directors office they are a 3rd party acting on behalf of Vodafone and therefore the call recording is not available.

    Vodafone retention is outsourced to Webhelp UK in Rotherham, and that looks like a Rotherham number - however I am very surprised that Vodafone can't get access to the call recording.

    Not if it doesn't exist. Calls are usually recorded for training and quality purposes only. Not all are recorded and those that are, may not be kept for any length of time.

    I recently wrote a query to Vodafone Credit/Billing dept. I got a voice message asking me to call an 0808 number. That is Vodafone's call centre. The first thing the recorded message says is "please enter your 6 digit reference number." I don't have a 6 digit number so they terminate the call.
    Does anyone know if I can press any buttons to force my call to be routed to an operator?

    Within that thread you will find details of how to contact the Vodafone representative on this site. I've contacted them by this means and they were very helpful.
