Baxi 720030501 7 day remote thermostat

Hi All,

Recently moved into my new home and one of the issues is the Baxi 720030501 thermostat control works fine but the battery light appears to be showing it is low.
I have removed the two screws from the back but there doesn't seem to be any obvious sign of batteries nor is there anyway to charge it electrically. Can't seem to find any pdf manuals online for it so a bit stuck.
Are there even any batteries in it ?
Does it charge wirelessly ?
Is it like a carbon monoxide alarm where you have to chuck it once the batteries die ?
Am I missing something really obvious ?! :(

The prev owner has left a manual for the boiler but doesn't seem to cover the remote thermostat.

Would appreciate any help,

Cheers

James

This is for the Viessman 30e which looks exactly the same as the Baxi.

  • Any idea where I can find the manual for this? I've been looking online but can't find it anywhere and have no idea how to change the timer!
I'm a girlie whirlie despite my username
  • Pulpstar > there are 2 x AAA batteries that are changeable in the hand held device. Don't throw it away!!

Kennyvinegar > contact Baxi support with the model number and they will send you the user manual PDF for the 72003501 device.

Thats what I had to do. And it explains everything.
