Morning
My first amount of money has arrived £102.05 from some weekend work. I've got a few more shifts booked this month but it'll depend when the paydays for those fall as to weather they'll be part of this months total.
I've sold an old phone handset and sent that off. I've had notification of payment but won't count it until it's in my account and I have some cash to deposit for some jewellery I sold which will be the same.0 -

I have had an informal agreement at work to drop from my current four days a week to 3 days a week.
Its the main reason I wanted to claim pension early.
If all goes to plan it will happen when I come back off my two week holiday at the beginning of June.
I am so pleased.
The drop in money is a bit scary but there are always extra hours on offer and my tiny monthly pension and drop in monthly mortgage payments due to overpayment will hopefully cushion the wage drop.
Hoping to make another overpayment before we go away which will bring it down a little more.
If money is too tight , we will just have to live off my produce at the allotment. :rotfl:
Hoping to have a day at the allotment today if I can avoid the showers.
Hope everyone has a good weekend.
Great news about your decrease in hours:T:j:beer:. I'm sure you'll make up the extra money needed somehow and probably in a more enjoyable way than having to work long hours at your current job. As someone who has done waitressing work for a short time I know how tiring it can get, all the time on your feet and having to be 'nice' all the time especially to awkward customers. I also know that whatever goes wrong/isn't totally wonderful in a restaurant it's always the waiter/ress who gets complained to when it is rarely their fault:eek:.
I bet they'll be forever asking you to fill in for others though, as they do now. They know you're reliable and good at the job. Be strong, take a bit of 'you' time;)0 -

Congratulations on the bingo win. Always good to win with other people's money:j:beer:
I'm an avid carbooter (you wouldn't guess that from my username would you?:rotfl:) but it's still a bit too early in the season for me at the moment. It's too darn dark and cold at 5.30 in the morning for me to be setting up in a muddy field at my regular venue:o. I don't blame you at all for not doing one yourself this weekend. There'll be lots more weekends to get stuff sold:j0 -

Thanks CBC......yes it can be a pain sometimes working with the general public but I dont think we are the only industry to suffer.
I think anyone that has a customer facing role can find it quite a challenge. Im hoping that with my drop in regular hours, I wont find my patience wearing thin as much.
Oh and I dont know about taking it easy.......lol.....the things I am going to do with my extra day off!!! In theory anyway.Make £10 a Day Feb .....£75.... March... £65......April...£90.....May £20.....June £35.......July £600 -
Evening all.
CBC, I still haven't got round to counting it up. It won't be a huge amount, our workplace is only small, and I tend to nick a can or a chocolate bar occasionally too for my lunch or if I need a pick-me-up in an afternoon, but if nothing else they're not costing me anything.
£42.49 for the last 2 days MB'ing.0 -
Just an update on the 3 books I sold on Amazon and the eBay sales of craft stuff from last weekend. Money now received for all so I'm adding a total of £27.42
Also, used a £5 voucher and £1.35 in MOCs at Morrisons yesterday.
That's April off to a start with £33.77:j
I hope everyone is having an enjoyable weekend:beer:0
