Please could you test the BBC iPlayer Radio Android app, and post back here with the results of whether you can download (not stream) a program. Just go to the schedule page, find a program that finished a few hours ago, click on it, then click download and see if it completes. Then if it completes the download, press play…

I ripped the apk files off my old galaxy s2 and installed them onto my S4 and now my S6.

BBC totally ruined the app for me after an update, that was a long time ago and i have stuck with the old version ever since.

Roll back the updates, or get an older version and install that.
