It might be just me but after your recent website update there no longer appears to be a link (that I can see) on the My Account webpage to be able submit meter readings?
Slightly important don't you think given that most people will be trying to submit their meter readings online in two days time on the last day of the month and if they can't find it your phones will be likely to ringing off the hook?
I eventually found this link but not from the My Account webpage https://www.eonenergy.com/for-your-home/your-account/meter-readings

Hello youravinalarrrf and I'm sorry you're struggling to find the meter readings page on our revamped website. Don't worry. It's still there.
When logged in and on the My Account page, it's in the top right hand panel (coloured red). This panel lets you know whether or not we need readings ready for the next bill. If we don't, there's a link at the bottom of the panel that takes you through to the same page as before where you can enter readings.
Also, customers without an online account can still enter readings. On the first page, choose My Account from the top ribbon. On the next page, the middle panel gives a link to enter readings.
Hope this helps youravinalarrrf. Let me know if you're still struggling as happy to help further.

I think we may be looking at different pages? The page in question https://www.eonenergy.com/for-your-home/account
I'm using Pale Moon (Firefox based) web browser and the top right hand panel coloured red on the My Account page is Your Statements (View your statements) and there's no mention anywhere of Meter Readings that I can see. I've cleared eonenergy cookies in Pale Moon and also tried the same using Internet Explorer and it's exactly the same.
Please post a link to the page you're looking at.0 -

Hello youravinalarrrf.
I've tried both Internet Explorer and Firefox. All okay on both.
The link you've posted takes me to the log in page which is fine. Please log in through this page and then go to My Account.
Alternatively, try the link below and choose Manage your account Online at the top of the page.

Hope this helps youravinalarrrf. Helena and I are away now until next Tuesday but, if you're still struggling, advisors are working up until 8pm tonight and between 8am and 6pm tomorrow. The Live Chat service on our website will also be available during the same hours.
Have a good Easter.

Thanks for the reply.
Still no joy but I can get to the meter readings page through https://www.eonenergy.com/for-your-home/your-account/meter-readings
I wonder if my account is locked down due to annual review being due as I can't get to the review direct debit page either?0 -

Hello youravinalarrrf and following on from last week. I've found out today that customers with smart meters can no longer enter readings online through our revamped website.
If you've smart meters, this will explain why you couldn't see the panel I was talking about on Thursday. If not, please ignore this. Sorry I wasn't able to let you know about this earlier but Helena and I have only been told this morning.
The Monthly Direct Debit is a different thing. This is locked down when there are two payments or less left until the annual review. If this is the case, this will stop you reaching the Direct Debit pages.
The My Account page on our website has been redesigned to show facilities and information relevant to the person using it. For instance, customers with credit meters will no longer be able to see details about prepayment meters on their personalised My Account page when logged in.
Hope this helps explain youravinalarrrf.

Malc,
Thanks for the reply.
I do indeed have a smart meter but I think removing the ability for customers to manually enter monthly readings regardless of whether they have a smart meter or not and to obtain an updated bill is definitely a step in the wrong direction.
I would be grateful if you pass this on to the powers that be although as usual I doubt they will listen or take any notice but I would like to know the reasoning behind their decision.
I will still continue to manually enter meter readings and obtain an updated bill on a monthly basis for the remaining 2 months of my contract if only to keep my spreadsheet and accounts updated.
As far as having access to the Direct Debit page I have less than 2 months left on my current contract so this would explain why I cannot access that particular page.0 -

Another good reason to refuse so called smart meters - this is a step too far!0 -

Happy to do this youravinalarrrf. It's a decision taken by the business based on the ability of smart meters to let us have readings without the need to trouble customers. I do appreciate there are a lot of customers who want to enter readings more frequently and have pointed this out to those responsible for this decision.
At the moment, the link you posted above (#5) still works.

The fact is a lot of customers already have a deep held mistrust of energy suppliers in general and of SMETS1 smart meters in particular. I'm not saying that applies to E.ON but you know what I'm getting at.
Those customers who do want to enter readings more frequently will still want to be able to continue to do so and those that don't probably never will any way.
As it's an automated process from the customer entering a meter reading to you producing an updated bill I can see no reason for the change as nothing is gained.0 -

I just wondered if you have the ability to actually see what the smart meter is supposed to have read the meter at? Although I am not with EON I do have serious concerns about smart meters & if I do decide to go that route I would like to be sure I can access what numbers they have.0
