Sign up there and you can get your Experian Credit Report for free refreshed every month.

Also i hope your not paying for CheckMyFile; Clearscore provides Equifax data for free and is also refreshed every 30 days.

Lol. I am paying for Checkmyfile.

But do Clearscore or MS Credit Club inform me of searches, credit checks or new accounts being opened or do I have to manually login each day?

At the moment I am loggin into Noddle and CheckMyFile each day to check there is no fraudulent activity.

Clearscore and MSE Credit Club only update once a month and you will get an email when they do. So you won't know about any searches as soon as they happen. Noddle only updates once a month as well unless you have an add on which you usually have to pay for.

This is the entry on my Noddle and its the same on Checkmyfile. The actual data is correct, my name DOB, Address.

Noddle identifies it as a Quotation Search and Checkmyfile as an Inquiry Search.

So was this an actual application or one of those prechecks to check for eligibility?

Bank Of Scotland Plc (Sr, Sa, Tac)
Lloyds Banking Grp Credit Card (Cr Bsb Api)
    Quotation Search
    27/03/2018
    Input address xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Search reference xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Name Mr xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Date of birth xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
    Application type Sole

I signed up to Checkmyfile in 2014 for the 30 day free trial and closed it before paying anything.

Earlier this year I wanted to see if their four CRA data claim was correct and signed up for £9.99 per month with a view to checking every two or three days.

I was I found out that Checkmyfile only update my file once a month even for paid subscriptions! Words fail me as for £9.99 per month they are offering absolutely nothing more than the three free services. In fact GiffGaff offer daily updates on Callcredit data completely free (and no GiffGaff product required).

That is an eligibility check, not an application check.

Check all 3 CRA, as call credit don't seem to distinguish between soft and hard searches, so you may be worrying over nothing.
Totally Money is another free service that uses Callcredit data. I quite like the look and feel which is a bit cleaner than Noddle.

Crucially though it does categorise hard and soft searches separately.

Lloyds have sent me out info, it seems that they opened up a bank account in my name an address and not a credit card as was originally told.

The bank account has been shut down. However can someone tell me what benefit would these ID fraudsters get from opening a bank account at my home address?

I have the debit card and pin number letters. So the post was not intercepted. Lloyds said that these are automatically generated and I should discard them or should I keep them for any future issue?
