Will you be able to use Avios to give anyone above 6ft sufficient legroom?

Maybe 5000 for half an inch, 10000 for three quarters etc?

Then maybe 5000 for those newspapers we used to get? 10000 for foolscap?

BA used to be our carrier of choice - no longer.

Almost certainly it will be bad news dressed up as something that "offers more choice" as a result of "listening to travellers".

Part of the business model of "loyalty" programmes has always been to encourage people to stick to one supplier/airline etc and even to pay more for certain class of seat in the hope of building up enough miles for a dream trip/upgrade/gold status etc., only to find that by the time they get that far the rules have changed and the "currency" has been devalued.

Many do benefit, of course - I certainly have. But in my experience they work best for people that turnover the rewards quickly rather than saving.
