  • Others have said to send my defence in the post, but I'd rather email?

Where can I find the CCBCAQ email address?

Also, do I need to complete the 'defence section' if th claim form sent to me, scan and attach to email?

    Thanks.

Where can I find the CCBCAQ email address?
    By Googling it!

'CCBC contact us' would be a good start, or by searching the forums and finding all the times people give that email!

Nope, just a signed & dated defence, with the claim number & claimant/defendant headings along the top, as per the examples you find here.
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

  • I have followed the document layout as suggested.

I have put the claim number as the header on each page & numbered each page.

Do I just need to sign and date the last page?

Should I email it as PDF or will a word document suffice?

    Thanks.

Sign and date the last page, then scan it back in as a pdf.
Then send it as an attachment as already advised.
  • Hi Guys, CEL are now takingme to court in October but I just wanted to check BPA's rule on Grace Periods. If I enter a car park and drive straight back out (my vehicle was on the premises for less than 90 seconds), can I still be issued a ticket? I've read about a 10 minute grace period, but does this apply before you have purchased a ticket?

    Thanks.

No they won't - there will be no hearing if you defended this well and didn't do 'Mediation', and if you now file a decent WS and compelling evidence in time (the letter tells you your WS & evidence deadline).
If I enter a car park and drive straight back out (my vehicle was on the premises for less than 90 seconds),
Can't have been. Are you SURE?

There cannot have been a PCN for 90 seconds.

Did you visit twice that day?

  • Hi,

By 19th September I have to send to the court & claimant copies of all documents I intend to rely upon at final hearing.

Which documents should I be sending?

Also, I have to send to the court & claimant my witness statement by 26th September.

What do I include in my witness statement?

    Can someone please advise?

    Many Thanks,

    James .

Read up up on the court process in #2 of the newbies FAQ thread near the top of the forum

It takes you right through each stage till the hearing including the 2 you now have asked about.

(The docs could be all your exhibits to back up your defence such as photos copies, of letters to and from the claimant/solicitors etc, . See separate section in the FAQ on preparing a WS)
  • Hi guys,

I’ve looked through the forums but have so much work on I don’t have time to keep creating letters etc to send to court & claimant. The witness statement seems pretty simple but what documents should I be relying on?

Can I email it to the court/claimant or do I have to post it?

Does it have to reach the court/claimant by 19/09/18 or do I have to post it by that date with evidence of postage?

I only have proof of me paying by phone on the day from their website and the letter I sent to court which I uploaded on here.

I haven’t got time to take photos & read through all legal information/POFA etc.

    Any advice?

    Thanks in advance.

    Make time!

This is a time consuming business you are caught up in!

Hopefully if you do this stage properly it will end
