Good Morning all ,well, a very wet morning by the looks of things. yes Mum and baby are both fine and doing well.
Food shopping this morning ,only second one this month but hopefully not too many things to buy as I am away for a week in April and possibly away for a day or two over Easter as well, so its on a needs-only shop this morning
Another month nearly gone, where does the time fly to. I have a meeting tonight at the local Historical Society that I promised to go to, maybe it will dry up before then.
Hope everyone has a good day, and trys to stay dry
Cheers chums

Morning all
Thanks for the thread nmlc, hugs to all those in need and an extra one for snoozer.
Hugs also to those DD's having a c-section, I had my first that way and the other 3 the ' normal ' way.
The c-section was by far the hardest and most difficult.
It's raining hard here today so hopefully we will remain on this mooring until tomorrow, I really can't see my ankle improving without some rest, CHS is panicking about getting back to work next Tuesday.
Have a good day everyone .
Hugs HesterChin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all,
A bit of a grey day today but we've been out for our walk.I read in the local paper that there have been 2 cases of ' Alabama rot ',a disease that affects dogs and is usually fatal. They dont really know the cause but it seems worse when its muddy and wet and it comes on really quickly, starts with a sore on the legs /paws.Given that our local park is usually a mudbath it's a bit worrying.
Enjoyed the (reduced) roast chicken I did yesterday, not had one for ages. There is some left so will probably freeze it, though I'm really struggling for freezer space atm.Lamb chops tonight.
Snoozer -I'm sorry DD is having problems and really hope she can be helped.I did miss your post on Monday sorry- I always 'thank' when I've read and I've looked back and I seem to have missed a few posts after I went out((Have a hug ))
Nelski-thanks for the update on Holly, glad something is happening now.Hope your mums ears clear up soon
Scarlett hope you get some good news soon x
DGD didnt come last night.DS went to pick her up from her nanas because she wanted to see him (& they face time every day). When they got outside she saw her new friend who has moved in next door who asked her to play so DGD said she'd see Daddy tonight instead :rotfl:Luckily he had half an hour with her before they went out to the car so I suppose both parties were happy, and I presume she'll be here later
I need to sort my kitchen cupboards out. Certain members of the family ie. everyone except me ,seems incapable of finding anything without rummaging round spoiling my system, so thats my next job.Ironing is up to date and I'm fairly tidy.
OK better make a move now I've finished my coffee:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. (Eleanor Roosevelt)0 -
Gers could your bottom sheet be one of your DMs? That may explain the size issue!
No, she has a single bed and does her own washing at home. It's just odd as the sheet is not new and came off the bed the other week. I'll try again next time round.
I've been out to the shop as I needed milk and cheese. It took me longer to drive there than the time I spent in it.0 -
Morning all
Bruisemare seems to be behaving a bit better. Bodgit hasn't had to repair the door for 2 days now. Hopefully got her licked! A wet horrible start to the morning but the sun has just broken through so it may improve. Field doing a good impression of a lake. Thankfully it drains reasonably well at will recover in a few days.
Brave Sir Robin ( or mrs) has disappeared again. Hope they are not nesting somewhere awkward. Now got to find a new supplier for haylage as my farmer friend has run out!!
Not much else to say so I'll shoot off
Hugs and spoons to those in need

Morning all,
Havent got a clue what today will bring. Grump is missing his wheels as its still in the garage being fixed. Nothing major but they hadn't got his parts in stock. Meanwhile he is feasting on Alaskan railroads, Gold rush (gold mining in Canada) and Wheeler Dealers (cars as old as God's dog). All things he will miss when the Broadband is cut off. We will have a smart tv without the smart.
I've worked out what we will do...just need to wear down his principles a bit. Go for a new contract with the old company in my name. Seems like they value new customers more than old ones. All the household bills are in my name anyway I'm not sure why the Broadband isn't as the Direct Debit is set up on my bank account. I also want to see if I can pay the water rates over 10 months instead of the usual 8 as Grump gets confused. Bit late for this year but maybe next.
Need to speak to Prodigal. I didn't have time on Monday.
Need to chase up Eldests birth certificate. It's been weeks. Once that's done I can sort out his Deed Poll. He lost the original. I need to explain that this will be the last time I'll sort it.
Mehfin....glad to hear Neddy is behaving.
Onwards and forwards

Morning all
I'll have to ask you to to keep quiet at the back as I'm on a very boring conference call where it seems to be the norm to use a good few thousand words when one would be perfectly sufficient...oh the joys of being in a business where making yourself seem important is really vital.
Anyway on to far more important issues niceish day here so washing may well go out once this is over. Later today I'm off to work with my young person for some money mentoring. She is 18 but has learning disabilities so her "age" is more like a 7/8 year old. She's so lovely and great to work with but we do need to keep the learning simple and easy to understand so i need to stretch my creative abilities to come up with games that do not patronise her. She also has a low boredom level so makes it quite clear if she wants to change the activity
Food will be probably boiled egg and toast for lunch then something from the freezer later.
AOD hope the funeral goes as well as possible
TA good luck with the xray
Gers maybe you shrunk it in the wash
Scarlet ribbons you must be so excited hope all goes well
snoozer big hugs and special thoughts for your DD.0 -
I should like to tell you about last night's dinner, cooked by OH. However I'll just draw a veil over that episode and what you need to know is that I was quite hungry when I went to bed.
:D:D
Grump is pretty good with the frying pan but you can forget anything else.:rotfl:Strangely, I couldn’t get a clean bottom sheet on my bed yesterday. It’s part of a set of bed linen I’ve used many times before and which is used in turn. It came off the bed four weeks ago, was washed and put away. Now it just wouldn’t fit onto the fourth corner, no way would it reach! Weird. We have visitors for lunch tomorrow, so want to make a vat of soup and hard boil some eggs for sandwiches.Food will be probably boiled egg and toast for lunch then something from the freezer later.
